Five Stand is a type of shotgun sport shooting similar to sporting clays, trap and skeet. There are five stations, or stands and six to eight strategically placed clay target throwers (called traps). Shooters shoot in turn at various combinations of clay birds. Each station will have a menu card that lets the shooter know the sequence of clay birds he or she will be shooting at (i.e. which trap the clay bird will be coming from).Typical five stand targets are a rabbit, chandelle, overhead, teal (launched straight up into the air), and an incoming bird. Cost is $4 for NKSSA members and $6 for non members for a 25 bird round. For more information contact: 2bhomeontherange@gmail.com or 859-866-2592.

Practical Rimfire Precision Rifle Matches:
The Practical Rimfire Match is a rimfire take on the Precision Rifle Series. Shooters can expect tactical and practical types of target engagements from 10-300 yards.
Typical Course Of Fire: Shooting will take place under time constraints, from various positions, oftentimes using barricades and stage props to introduce non-orthodox positions. There will be movement to and between shooting positions. Stages will often start with an unloaded rifle and out of shooting position. Targetry will include paper targets and steel reactive targetry. For example: Shooter starts unloaded inside box. Shooter then must move to short wall barricade and engage five targets in any order while touching the wall. Each target can only be engaged with two shots, and shooter must reload at least once during the stage. Targets range from 50yds to 275 yards. Shooter will have 3 minutes to engage all targets. Cost is $10 for NKSSA members and $15 for non-members. For more information contact: Jeremy.henage@gmail.com.
